Busch Gardens Tampa recently released the following statement regarding the attraction.

"I know many of our valued guests have been eagerly waiting and equally as excited to experience our newest roller coaster, Iron Gwazi, which was originally scheduled to open in Spring 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we had to make the unfortunate decision to hold off on opening our newest attraction to the public.

It has recently occured to us that we are not being as transparent to the public regarding the future of the project as we should be. Over the past few months, our team has been working extra hard to get Iron Gwazi open to the public as fast as possible.

However, it is with great sadness that today we announce the unfortunate news that Iron Gwazi is now being put on "Indefinite Hold." We are equally as disappointed as you are to discover this heart-breaking news, and we hop to share more positive news regarding this project with as soon as possible.
